In 2010, Springtime in Minnesota I borrowed my niece's BirdSong IdentiFlyer to attract Redwing Blackbirds to our feeding stations. They are very territorial,but one little guy was very curious and kept coming up. We named him "George". By the time the females arrived "George" showed off his staked out territories including his peanut gathering abilities to get a mate - only this time I did not put out the peanuts ahead of time and he kept calling for me. I went out on the deck, called him with the IdentiFlyer, shook the non-salted peanut jar, called his name and he came right up. I put some nuts in my hand and he came right over and ate out of the hand. I even feed him one by one.
He spent the winter in Florida. But guess what, he returned back to our yard on St. Patrick's Day. All I had to do was use the IdentiFlyer, shake the peanut jar and say "Hey George" and he came in for his treats. Won't this year's females be amazed again at his abilities to find food.

 During childhood, lessons are learned and values formed that last a lifetime. Toys are important tools that help form these values. Nothing has touched me more than when a woman told me that her daughter loved her IdentiFlyer that she received a few years ago. As a kid, it inspired her interest in birds, so much so, it motivated her to study ornithology in college and to become a naturalist. WOW!
